Audio Podcasts
Chess History - This Podcast discusses Chess and its History, from famous players, interesting chess stories, and unusual historical events involving chess.
Current Events in Chess - A weekly Podcast about current chess events, tournament results, players in the news and anything topical in the world of high level chess.
Chess Biographies - Each week, we profile a chess personality, past and present. Nowhere else will you learn about famous and not so famous chess personalities, this Podcast makes chess personal and fascinating.
World Championship Chess - We discuss the history of the World Championships in chess, covering Championship matches, Championship politics, disputes, and other historical information about Chess Champions and their battles to the top of the chess world .
Tournament Tips - If you play, or want to play in competitive events, then this series is for you. We cover all aspects of tournament preparation. You do not need to be an advanced player to learn from this series, but we try to help you study, prepare, be in the right frame of mind, recover from your mistakes over the board and other topics.
Video Podcasts
Beginning Chess - In this series, a newcomer to chess can learn to identify the pieces, how they move, the rules of chess and other basic information. By studying this course of Podcasts, you will be ready to take level 2 classes at IchessU. Each Podcast covers basic information, includes simple quizzes and is excellent for parents who want to keep up with their children as they study chess at IchessU
IchessU Sample lesson - these lessons are actual sample lessons from IchessU, and we recorded them and edited each lesson so as to give you an example of what it is like to study at IchessU. Each week, we pick a different lesson, usually a different instructor, and try to cover a different topic. These are not complete lessons, but overviews - without the chess board and IchessU coaching interface, you won't get the same experience, but if you want to see what it is like to study at IchessU, then watch our Sample lessons.
Chess Opening of the Week - A quick look at chess opening theory, mostly for fun and historical interest, we make each chess opening, or opening variation fun. If you play or want to learn an opening, it is much more interesting to know the origin and development of the moves, from the ancient Ruy Lopez to the modernistic Pterodactyl.
Chess Puzzles - We bring a series of chess problems and puzzles with each Podcast. Some are humorous, some very difficult, some are easy. We rate each Podcast so you know the difficulty level of each Podcast. If you love chess problems, subscribe to this Podcast!
