1. How do I register?
Answer: If you only want to register to the IchessU to play chess, you should go to Login page and go through short signup process.
If you want to register to IchessU to join the University, you should go to Packages list and choose your choice. Attention: Joining University is allowed only after signing up to IchessU.
2. How do I get help?
Answer: There are 2 ways to get help:
A.Go to ichessu.com->HomePage->Help and send us a detailed explanation
B.Ask any admins online for any kind of help you need.
3. How many people are registered here?
Answer: You can see it using the Chess Learning Platform. Go to Menu and search for players.
4. Who is the highest rated player on IchessU?
Answer: Check the top players in the Chess Learning Platform Menu.
5. How do I adjourn game?
Answer: You can offer your opponent to adjourn the game only while playing.
The game will be in your "stored" games and you will be able to finish the game later on.
6. How do I continue a game that was adjourned (or disconnected)?
Answer: Go to your stored games using the Chess Learning Platform. If your opponent is online you can offer him to finish the game.
7. My opponent doesn’t want to resume the game. What do I do?
Answer: You can send us Help request with details and Administrators will verify the issue.
Or just tell one of the Administrators online about it.
8. How do I see who is on IchessU right now?
Answer: By searching players using the Chess Learning Platform, you can see all players who are currently online.
9. How do I see who is available to play a game with me?
Answer:You can see the status of the player.Player can be available for challenges or not.
10. How do I play a game?
Answer:Through the menu you have a couple of options to play a game.You can look for a specific player or just challenge anybody with a specific time control.
11. How do I decline a match request? How do I withdraw one?
Answer: When receiving a dialog with incoming and outgoing offers,you can accept,decline or withdraw the challenge.
12. Can I examine or analyze a game?
Answer: You can choose any game from History of your games or from any player's History and examine it on your own board.People will be able to observe your board and help you with advises.
13. What is history?
Answer: History is a storage of played games.
14. How do I flip a board?
Answer: You can swap white and black sides by clicking on the "Flip" button in the right down corner of the game window.
15. How do I request a draw?
Answer: While playing a game you have an option to offer your opponent a draw.Now it is up to him to accept it or decline.
16. What is my rating?
Answer: Every player has 3 different Ratings in IchessU: Blitz-all time controls under 10 minutes per game,Standard-all time controls under between 10 minutes per game and 20 minutes and Long-Games with more than 20 minutes per game.
17. How do I get a refund?
Answer: Please see the Refund Policy on our website
18. I have changed my email address. Who should I contact in order to update my account?
Answer: A.Go to ichessu.com->HomePage->Help and send us your request.
B.Ask any admins online to change it for you.
19. I have lost or forgotten my password.
Answer: On our website you have an option of retreiving your password.
20. How do I download the software?
Answer: You can dowload the Chess Learning Platform from our website.The process is very easy.
21. How do I talk with my opponent?
Answer: In chat window just choose his name and use the Send button to talk to him.
22. How do I examine a game from my personal history?
Answer: Choose a game from your or any other player History and examine it.
23. How do I see who is observing my game?
Answer: You are examiner of the game and getting Permission list ,you will see people in audience.
24. Do you have a schedule of weekly events?
Answer: Coming soon.
25. Can I connect to IchessU on my Macintosh?
Answer: The Mac version will be supported later this year.
26. What is an admin? How can I ask admin to help me?
Answer: Admin is a person who is often online and helps to maintain the normal behavior of the IchessU.You can find him online and ask him questions.
27. What is rating?
Answer: Rating is a system which allows determining player's level. By losing/winning/drawing games,your rating will change accordingly.
28. How do I add a person to be my friend? What does that mean?
Answer: Adding a person to be your friend,meaning you will be noticed when he is online.
29. How do I become a student in IchessU?
Answer: You can sign to IchessU University on our website and chose your preferred way to study chess.
30. How long are the courses?
Answer: The courses in IchessU will be 6-12 months.During the Pilot everybody will be able to join 1-6 months courses.
31. What is a chess lesson?
Answer: Chess lesson is a lesson where coach and students present at the same virtual room.
All the lessons are according to the programs fitted to every student level.
In IchessU all lessons are highly interactive using Video and Audio.
